Q: Do you cater for vegetarians?
A: Yes. All of our food is healthy, organic, free range and locally-sourced.We offer a vegetarian option both at breakfast and for our light bites menu.
Q: I have a gluten allergy. Would you be able to provide gluten-free meals?
A: Yes. We are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements that you might have, on request.
Q: When do you serve meals?
A: We serve breakfast daily from 08.00 through to 09:30. Should you require breakfast at an earlier time, we would be more than happy to do so, on request.
We also offer a light bites menu in our lounge or as room service which always includes a vegetarian option. We are licensed to serve alcohol between 5pm and 11pm so you can enjoy a glass of wine or a drink in the evenings. Childrens meals are available from 5.30pm by request.
Q: Do you have special menus for children?
A: Yes, with pasta, rice, fish, meat and fresh vegetable choices.
Q: Are you open all year round?
A: Yes, the Avalon Beach Hotel is open all year round.
Q: Do you take group bookings?

Q: Is there a minimum stay?
A: Yes, over Weekends and Bank Holliday's. We have a £20.00 supplement on Saturday night only stays.
Q: Do you have any single rooms?
A: No, however our twin & double rooms are available for single occupancy, subject to availability.
Q: We would like to come and stay at your hotel with our baby. Do you provide any facilities for babies?
A: We have high chairs, travel cots, a baby bath and we also offer a baby-sitting facility so you would be able to go out and leave your baby in safe hands.
A: We have a large enclosed South facing garden with a coastal planting theme, sandpit & small water feature. The garden room houses a selection of board games, a dressing up box, games & books for our younger guests. We also have a mini snooker table & keyboard in our garden family room for the enjoyment of all ages. Our pet rabbits Daz and Billie reside in the garden.
Q: I can’t walk up stairs easily. Do you have any bedrooms on the ground floor?
A: Yes, we now have three ground floor rooms all with kitchenettes.
Q: How good is the local public transport as we don’t want to drive down?
A: There is an excellent bus service which will take you along the coast into Bournemouth or Christchurch. There is also a train that runs along the seafront.
Q: Is it easy to park at the hotel?
A: Yes. We have parking facilities available at the front of the Hotel and there is always the option of on-street parking too.
Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: Unfortunately we don’t have the facilities to look after pets, but we do allow guide dogs.
Q: Is smoking permitted on the premises?
A: The Avalon Beach Hotel has a no smoking policy although smoking is permitted in the garden.
Q :We stayed with you recently & commented that your hotel exceeded our expectations of a 2 star hotel.Why do you not have a higher AA grading?
A: Thank-you. Our goal is to always exceed expectations.
We are currently graded an AA 2 star hotel,which we are very proud of. We have furnished all our rooms and installed facilities suitable for a 3 or 4 star AA grading. In 2008 we attained planning permission to join our 2 buildings 41 & 43, Grand Avenue.
It is our intention to add a central designated reception area & further facilities to the hotel in the near future. This enhanced facility will enable us to achieve a higher star grading.
Meanwhile, we are delighted that our customers feel they get a 4 star service at Avalon Beach Hotel.
Q:Do you host any themed weekends or activity weekends?
A: Yes we do. In Autumn & Spring we have a 'watercolour weekend' suitable for artists of all abilities. This class is led by our guest artist Brian Wakeman proved to be a great success in Oct 2008.
